Mvalex Business Suite: AI-Assisted Business Asset Generation

How I integrated LLM-powered copy generation into a business card and invoice SaaS — and the prompt engineering that made output usable without editing.

const prompt = `
You are a business copywriter.
Output ONLY valid JSON: {"tagline": string, "description": string}

Business: {{name}}
Industry: {{industry}}
`;

Mvalex Business Suite helps small businesses create professional business cards and invoices. The AI integration generates descriptions, taglines, and professional copy from basic business info.

The prompt structure

The key was constraining the output with strict JSON schema and few-shot examples:

const prompt = `
You are a business copywriter. Generate a professional tagline and description.
Output ONLY valid JSON: {"tagline": string, "description": string}

Business: {{name}} Industry: {{industry}} Services: {{services}}

Example for a consulting firm: {"tagline": "Strategy that ships.", "description": "..."} `; ```

Why JSON-only output

Users shouldn't have to edit AI output. By forcing structured JSON with a schema, I can directly populate form fields without parsing free text.

Print-ready exports

The export pipeline renders to PDF with correct DPI:

// 300 DPI for print, 96 DPI for screen
const dpi = isPrint ? 300 : 96;
const widthPx = (widthMm / 25.4) * dpi;

The lesson

AI in a B2B product works best when it's a fill-in-the-blank assistant, not a black-box generator. Users trust output they can predict.
